Who we are

“madebygoodyutes” (mbgy) is a Canadian company that helps businesses with AI integration, systems audits, and custom software. This policy covers visitors to madebygoodyutes.com.

What we collect

From the contact form

When you submit our contact form, we collect your name, email address, company, website if provided, services needed, team size, timeline, budget range, current tools, and the project summary you choose to share. The form also sends source details so we can understand what prompted the request: source page, source section, CTA label, UTM parameters, and referrer.

To keep the form useful and secure, we process a submission token, a honeypot field, and a Cloudflare Turnstile token. The server may store captcha status, captcha error codes, lead classification, fit score, delivery status, delivery errors, response status, follow-up owner, and timestamps. We use this information to reply to you, route the request, prevent spam, troubleshoot delivery, and follow up on the engagement. We do not sell it or use it for marketing outside that conversation.

Analytics and consent mode

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read, how they got here, and where the site falls short. GA4 collects page paths, referrer URLs, anonymized IP addresses, device and browser type, and session duration. We do not collect names, email addresses, or any data that identifies you personally through analytics.

If you reject analytics, GA4 does not set or read analytics cookies and we clear existing GA cookies we can reach from your browser. Because the site uses Google Consent Mode, Google may still receive limited measurements without cookies, such as consent state, page URL, referrer, and browser signals, for basic measurement and modeling.

Cookies and similar technologies

The site uses these client-side storage entries:

  • mbgy.consent.v1 (localStorage): your cookie choice and the date you made it. Set the moment you choose Accept or Reject.
  • _ga, _ga_* (cookies, only after you opt in): Google Analytics identifiers used to distinguish unique sessions. Expire after 2 years.

You can change your choice any time: open cookie settings.

Third parties

  • Google Analytics: analytics platform operated by Google. See Google’s privacy policy.
  • Resend: email delivery service we use to receive and reply to contact-form messages.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile: bot-protection challenge shown on the contact form.

Legal basis

For analytics, the basis is your consent. For replying to the contact form, the basis is the steps taken at your request and our legitimate interest in operating the site securely.

Data retention

Contact form messages are kept for as long as we need to handle the engagement and a reasonable period after, then deleted. Analytics data in GA4 is retained for 14 months.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. You can withdraw consent for analytics at any time using the cookie settings link. Quebec residents have additional rights under An Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25). EU and UK visitors have the rights described under the GDPR / UK GDPR. To exercise any of these, email info@madebygoodyutes.com.

International transfers

Some of the third parties above (Google, Resend, Cloudflare) operate servers outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. Your information may be processed in those jurisdictions.

Children

The site is intended for business users and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will bump the consent storage version so we re-prompt you for a fresh choice.
